About StocksScores
Leveling the
playing field.
Institutions spend millions on quant teams to synthesize hundreds of signals into decisions. We packaged the same rigor into an engine anyone can use: 120 scorers, one number, zero guesswork.
The story
Born from frustration, built with rigor.
We were tired of the information asymmetry in financial markets. Large institutions had teams of quants synthesizing hundreds of signals. Retail investors were left staring at 15 indicators on a chart, trying to reach a verdict in their heads.
So we built an engine that does the synthesis for you. Not a black box — a transparent, auditable pipeline. 120 individual mathematical scorers, each returning 0–100, weight-aggregated into a single bullishness score. Every sub-score drillable, every weight tunable.
Then we started keeping score on ourselves. Every night's scores are recorded and measured against SPY-excess returns, so the weights can be tuned on evidence rather than intuition.
The ledger

Feedback loop
Every nightly score recorded and measured against SPY-excess returns: the record the weights get tuned on.
What the engine is built on.
Rigor over hype
Every scorer follows strict conventions: null for missing data, 50-centered confidence scaling, direction consistency. No manufactured signals.
Transparency
Every score is drillable. You can see exactly which of the 120 scorers pushed a stock up or dragged it down. No black boxes.
Democratizing alpha
Congressional trading data. Insider sentiment. Sector-relative fundamentals. The same signals institutions pay millions for — scored 0–100 for everyone.
Self-improving
Every score is recorded and later checked against the stock's return versus SPY. That record, not gut feel, is what the weights get tuned on.
The engine
Not a black box.
